Sweepmate, a fresh entrant in the real-money gaming space, has debuted as a pool-based platform offering a fresh take on sweepstakes tailored for UK fans of sports. Available immediately on both iOS and Android devices, the app merges classic sweepstake mechanics with fantasy league thrills and trading elements, creating an engaging format for following major events.

Kicking off with predictions for the English Premier League, Sweepmate plans to expand to additional sports and competitions in the near future. Each week, the league standings refresh within the app, powered by real-time data from Sportradar, allowing users to track progress on the go.

Regulated under the UK Gambling Commission for pool-style play, Sweepmate avoids bookmaker roles or outcome bets. Instead, the prize fund—scaled by participant numbers—distributes winnings to top performers: 50% to the first-place predictor, 20% to fourth, and 30% to the last in weekly "Sprints."

A standout feature, dubbed "Sweeping," lets players swap teams mid-Sprint, adding a layer of tactical depth. The platform was co-founded by Lloyd Bidder, an assistant director at a leading Big Four accounting firm, and Johnny Barnes, the entrepreneur behind Soho Juice Co., a popular non-carbonated drink brand distributed globally across three continents.

Barnes shared his vision: "We're stepping in to replace what DraftKings vacated with something truly original and versatile. This model fits seamlessly into various sports and events, be it the Euros or even Eurovision.

"It's straightforward: select three teams, and cash in if they land first, fourth, or last. Unlike last-minute additions, teams are fixed early, building real scarcity—and you can trade them throughout the game week.

"As a pool game, we're not bookmakers; we skip odds and risks. Our focus is on big wins for players, backed by comprehensive insights. Ultimately, we aim to hook fans through the full matchday, win or lose, injecting extra buzz into the Premier League and keeping everyone tuned into every score."

The app is now live for downloads on iOS and Android.
